On the 4th of July, I had the privilege of photographing a lovely wedding for two beautiful souls who wanted to celebrate the joining of their families. When I met Ana several months ago, she told me their love story and I was in tears. Life is so full of ups and downs, unexpected surprises and heartbreaks, but when you believe in love, it is all SO worth it. She shared her life story with me over coffee as we both laughed and cried together. She told me that she chose July 4th as their wedding day because she wanted every anniversary to be a huge celebration, complete with fireworks!
It was truly an honor to participate in this beautiful event! Mother Nature may have kept us off the beach, but nothing could keep these two from celebrating this beautiful union. Congrats Ana and Doug! I wish you many years together full of sweet blessings, great joy and abundant love.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the lovely wedding of Christine and Adam at Church Point Manor Bed and Breakfast in Virginia Beach. This venue is stunning - elegant and charming without feeling overly formal or stuffy. It's tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood not far from Chick's Beach. It was the perfect setting for this wonderful celebration of love and friendship. There were so many memorable, heartfelt moments at this wedding! I adored every moment, and it made for a stunning visual storybook of images to last a lifetime.
They chose to do a first look before the ceremony. Their expressions are absolutely priceless!
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Suter! It was an honor to be a part of your special day, thank you! I wish you many more joyful moments together in the years to come.

My first wedding of 2016 was quite a unique event. One that was full of amazing moments, lots of laughter, joyful dancing and once-in-a-lifetime memories. Kayleigh and James were married in January at a surprise wedding! Yes, you read that right. Family and friends thought they were attending a party – a reunion of sorts- but they got a huge surprise as they were being ushered from cocktail hour to the dining room. Kayleigh’s parents announced that they were actually attending a wedding instead! The ceremony began promptly after the announcement was made and there was hardly a dry eye in the house.
It was such an honor and a joy to document this amazing event, which was held at Sweetwater Cuisine in Virginia Beach, VA. Ohhh, how I love Sweetwater Cuisine! Everything they do is beautifully appointed and the catering service is top-notch. They sure know how to serve up deliciousness in style. And oh my, every dish is divine. (Don’t get me started on the mac and cheese – just do yourself a favor and go get some!)
Kayleigh and James were married in a quaint ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. Today I am sharing some of my favorite moments from their beautiful winter wedding. Enjoy!

Small family weddings are some of my favorite. Don't get me wrong, I love a grand affair complete will opulent details and sweeping views of a stunning venue. But a quaint gathering of those you hold most dear on your wedding day is sometimes all you need.
I had the honor of shooting this gorgeous Sandbridge beach cottage wedding for Lindsay and Brandon. With the help of family and friends, they were able to plan the whole thing from North Dakota. And you know what? It was perfect. Down to every last detail, this destination beach wedding with blue and silver accents was simply perfect.
We were blessed with a beautiful blue sky, warm sunshine, and a gentle breeze. The beach cottage decor was accented by simple elegant touches and beautiful white florals. And oh the warmth and love surrounding this union was palpable! It really was a perfect day and I couldn't be happier for Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
