Photographers in Hampton Roads - Williamsburg Family Session

Spring time in Hampton Roads is so gorgeous! Don't you just love it when the greens start to pop and the blooms emerge from the craggy bare limbs of the trees? Okay, so the blanket of yellow pollen, that's not so enjoyable, but the temperatures, the lack of mosquitos, the colorful blossoms - those are pretty fantastic!

I recently had the pleasure of spending an afternoon in Colonial Williamsburg photographing the Nilan family. It was a gorgeous mild evening and the historic town was pretty quiet. It was the perfect setting for our family photo session. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this lovely extended family and their two beautiful grand babies.

Of course when Grandma wants just one photo of everyone smiling together, this usually happens.

Thankfully I've learned a few tricks over the years and we made it work despite the protests from the peanut gallery.

And I can't even begin to describe how much I LOVE this series. Toddler struggles. Priceless.

And those little quirks and details that are so endearing but seem to fade with each passing day - my absolute favorite to capture.
