Virginia Beach Oceanaire Resort Hotel Wedding Photography
Today I am excited to share some sneak peeks of this gorgeous Virginia Beach oceanfront wedding! It was one of the most memorable weddings I have photographed to date. I loved Jackson and Jordan when I met them last fall at our wedding consultation meeting. They were just so young and full of life, not to mention gorgeous! I just knew I would love working with them.
Their May wedding at the Oceaniare Resort Hotel at the Virginia Beach oceanfront was beautifully appointed. The stunning details were meticulously managed by the talented gals at As You Wish.
The ceremony took place on the 10th floor sundeck at Oceanaire. I have photographed several weddings here and the view is superb. It's conveniently away from the tourist crowds, yet still offers sweeping views of the oceanfront.
After the ceremony we headed downstairs to take group photos by the boardwalk before heading back up to the reception. We had no idea what we were in for at the reception.
Shortly after dinner began, a storm kicked up. Chaos ensued briefly as the wind whipped around the deck and the dark clouds rolled in. Fortunately, the staff at Oceanaire and the ladies from As You Wish rushed into action and Plan B was set in motion. The guests were moved to an indoor location for dinner and some rearranging was done to accommodate the late night festivities.
But all's well that ends well, right? Fortunately, the storm passed after a bit. We were blessed with a gorgeous sunset and a few dancing rain drops, as the evening continued.
Congratulations Jackson and Jordan! May all the days of your marriage be much less stormy than the first.
